Zumba Class at Cassista Chiropractic!

If you have heard of Zumba and/or ever wanted to try it, here’s your chance! Emily Buynevich (formerly Emily Cassista, one of Dr. C’s daughters) will be teaching a one hour Zumba class every Thursday from 6:00-7:00pm downstairs at Cassista Chiropractic Office. Please use the side door outside leading to the basement of the building. More classes may be added per week based on interest and demand.

Q: What is Zumba?
Zumba is a fun, high-energy latin music and dance based fitness class.

Q: Do I have to be a good dancer to do Zumba?
No, anyone can do Zumba! This fitness class is designed for people of all ages, abilities, and backgrounds. Each song is repetitive and uses the same few moves so that you can get the hang of it quickly and have fun while doing it.

Q: Is Zumba a cardio workout or a muscle toning workout?
Zumba is both! The upbeat music keeps you moving to elevate your heart rate. The animated moves engage your core muscles for stronger body control and more toned muscles. You will feel a difference after just a few weeks!

Q: What should I bring with me to class?
Zumba is a fitness class, so you should wear exercise attire and comfortable and supportive sneakers. Bring plenty of water and if you choose, a sweat band or towel. Bring a carefree and positive attitude, and you’re set!




6 Week Total Life Transformation

Would you like to be more fit, more efficient at daily tasks, have much more energy, deeper, stronger relationships and more joy and happiness in your life? The makeover consists of 6 once per week meetings. Each session focuses on a different part of living.

  • The first week looks at time management using a very different technology than the usual writing a list, prioritizing it and hoping for the best. It is easy to use and far more effective. Without proper time management, there is never enough time to shop for the right food, time to prepare it, time to work out or time to build relationships. It is the key to being successful at anything.
  • The second week centers on fast, efficient workouts. You will learn how to calculate your own, individual fat burning zone and how to stay in it for maximum results. You will learn the secret of building muscle while burning body fat.
  • The third week discusses one of the biggest problems in this country, insulin resistance. If you are a man with a waist bigger than 40 inches or a woman with a waist bigger than 34½ inches, you are probably insulin resistant and losing weight for you is almost impossible. If you actually DO lose weight, it is almost impossible to keep it off. New cutting edge technology to turn this around is fully explained and the weight peels off and stays off once this is accomplished! You will also understand why just counting calories is not sustainable, and not efficient at burning fat.
  • The fourth week looks at what can be done to stay as young as possible for as long as possible. You will learn how to keep your body parts running at close to 100% for your entire life. Remember, you don’t catch cholesterol, heart attacks, diabetes, thyroid problems, cancer, depression or fatigue from anybody! It is your own body parts that break down and cause these things.
  • Week five takes a new perspective on stress management. Rather than manage stress, ways to PREVENT stress in the first place are discussed. It is amazingly simple when you understand some basic principals!
  • Week six wraps everything up with how to have more joy and peace in your life. It is so easy to be happy once a person sees the difference between what we THINK makes people happy vs. learning where true happiness actually comes from.

Why are some people allergic to pollen and others aren't?
It's not the pollen. Chiropractors know that if it were, everyone would be allergic to pollen, nuts and pet dander. But that's not the case. It's the person, not the pollen! If you live in Dracut and your stress levels are high, then each year the grass, the trees or the weeds put your nervous system over the top. Many report that chiropractic care helps reduce the frequency and severity of their allergic response.
What's the difference between a "good" drug and a "bad" drug?
As a chiropractor, I see the use of many drugs (legal or illegal) as merely symptom treating. Worse, virtually every drug produces unwanted effects. The effects of chiropractic are largely positive effects. If you're a Dracut parent, consider carefully before giving your child a cough medication, cold remedy or pain reliever so this sort of question doesn't arise in the first place.
